Flexibility and Integration
The WORKABOUT PRO 3 Handheld Computer offers high flexibility and integration potential by using standardized software and hardware components, combined with versatile add-on possibilities.
The fast PXA270 624 MHz architecture with 256 MB RAM and 1 GB Flash storage assure easy application development and integrated functions. With the choice between Windows Embedded® CE 5.0, Windows Mobile® 6 Classic or Professional with your decision for software hardly any wish remains unmet. The device comes with Slots for Compact Flash and SD storage enhancements as well as USB- (Host + Client), RS232- and Bluetooth interfaces, which allow a flexible connection to mobile or fixed installed peripheral devices. With its speech-enabled UMTS/GPRS/EDGE-Modem, WLAN Modules after 802.11b/g WLAN modules after 802.11b/g as well as optional add-on modules like Scanner, Imager, RFID-Reader, Gun grip or individual peripheral devices the WAP 3 can be adjusted exactly to your individual requirements.
Robustness
The robust design of the WORKABOUT PRO 3 enhances the general usage period of the system and by this ensures higher productivity in rough environments. The WORKABOUT PRO 3 is certified after IP65 , it is splash and dust protected to all directions. It withstands several drops from 1.8 m height to concrete. Because of this the device also withstands impacts and shocks occurring during the use of the device in the truck.
Ergonomics
Convenient handling and operation result from the elaborate and optimized ergonomics of the WORKABOUT PRO 3. The high resolution VGA-Touch-Screen-Display (640 x 480 Pixel) has a good readability even in bright daylight.
The very logically structured keypad with backlight (numeric or alphanumeric versions available) simplifies the operation and data entry. The size and the light weight of the WORKABOUT PRO 3 provide convenience during the entire working day.
The powerful Lithium Ion battery with 3300 mAh (4400 mAh optional) can easily be exchanged without any tools assures uninterrupted operation over at least one entire shift.
