Holistic telematics system TISLOG
The Situation
The openness to innovative solutions at Kicherer led to five different systems that had to be used by different departments of the company. Order management, locating, analysis of driving times as well as the administration of SIM cards and tablets were managed by different providers.
The Task
The previous five technology providers should be replaced by a holistic telematics system. For this purpose, TISLOG was introduced and the 85 own trucks were equipped with the appropriate hardware.
The Project Implementation
Before the final decision in favor of TISLOG, the solution had to undergo an intensive practical test at Kicherer. For this purpose, 15 trucks from the own forwarding company were equipped with a Samsung tablet (Galaxy Tab Active 2), a telematicbox truck and a mobile printer.
After the test, everyone who was involved drew a consistently positive conclusion, so that the telematics system was fully implemented around the turn of the year 2020/2021.
Now, Kicherer receives the current driving, working and rest times as well as the hardware for the trucks from just one provider. In addition, TISLOG is connected to the Pracar route planning software from Wanko, so that the routes can be easily displayed in the TISLOG app on the drivers mobile devices. They can also be forwarded to the navigation system.
In addition, the automatic notification of the delivery (with an exact time and a download link for the delivery note) ensures faster receipt of goods and a shorter downtime.
