The Situation
Getting closer to an ecological balance is one of the most important goals of Camion Transport AG. Therefore, they implemented a package of measures, called “Eco-Balance by Camion Transport” which has an impact on the vehicle fleet and the handling of logistics processes.
The Task
With the help of the new telematics solution TISLOG Camion wants to simplify its dispatch in the short- and long-distance traffic. In addition, new mobile devices should help to reduce the amount of paper.
The Project Implementation
The implementation of the electronic proofs required a new telematics software and new mobile devices. Therefore, the new telematics system TISLOG replaced the previous one which was also from TIS GmbH. The former Windows devices were replaced by mobile computers with Android as an operating system. Camion chose the Zebra TC56 touch computers. Thus the transport company saves three millions pieces of paper every year, which are around 24 tons.
There is also a solution for subcontractors of Camion Transport AG. They will use TISLOG mobile Smart as a telematics system that turns a normal mobile phone with a browser into a telematics device. The drivers just have to open a website that shows all the orders. This ensures the protection of sensitive order data and customer data at any time as they will not be saved on the mobile phone of the subcontractor.
Because of the mostly digitized processes, the family company does not need the morning shift from 2:00 to 5:00 am anymore. That is why they have more attractive working hours now.
