Environment and Sustainability

We obtain our electricity from renewable energies and work with heat recovery. We also have a green roof terrace and planted beds around the company building. Furthermore, we purchased power strips that can be switched off and we have installed photovoltaic systems.

We primarily use electric and hybrid cars for our company vehicles. In order to be able to charge these at the company, we have installed sufficient e-charging stations.
We also offer our employees company bicycles to motivate them to leave their cars behind. Bicycles can be stored in a lockable bicycle garage at the company.

We work largely digitally to save paper. If paper is required, we use recycled paper. We also rely on sustainable packaging and use large packaging instead of individual packaging. Sendings are CO2 neutral.
We also offer our employees mobile working and we drink Fairtrade coffee at work.

In 2023 we took part in the “Ökoprofit” project. There we spoke to several companies about what companies can do to protect the environment and derived measures for us from this. Finally, we received the Ökoprofit award.

In order not to lose contact with other companies and to maintain the focus on environmental protection, we have been part of the Ökoprofit Club District Borken since 2024, which meets twice a year.

In 2024 TIS started its EcoVadis membership and did its first certification. The determined ESG score was 43/100.
The next certfication will take place in 2025 in order to achieve a better score. Until then already implemented actions will be documented in detail and further actions will be done. TIS GmbH wants to be a permanent member of EcoVadis who calculates the ESG score considering environment, human rights, ethic and sustainability.

The topic of “Green Telematics” is also important to us. We are therefore very pleased that our logistics software TISLOG can also make a contribution to the environment. It is able to analyze the driving style of truck drivers and thus encourages improvements. This can reduce both wear and tear on truck parts and fuel consumption.

Furthermore, our products make it possible to check the CO2 values ​​of trucks, which means that possible optimizations can be derived.
The values ​​can also be used by our customers to make compensation payments to various environmental projects.
