TIS-customer John forwarding is a mid-sized freight forwarding and logistics company operating nationally and internationally. John forwarding was looking for a space-saving solution without any clutter to store and simultaneously charge about two-thirds of their mobile devices unused during daytime. For this the customer turned to the experts at TIS GmbH. For the barcode scanning of incoming and outgoing shipments, the company uses over 50 mobile mobile data terminals from Motorola equipped with the mobile telematics software PSV3® from TIS.
Most of them are only active at night, when the 70,000 square-foot transshipment hall serves as the central hub of the cargo cooperation CargoLine.
The solution offered by TIS includes three clean and lockable metal cabinets with a capacity of 20 scanners.
Thanks to this solution "cable messes" are a problem of the past at John forwarding now. In addition to dust and moisture proof storage, this solution also offers several other advantages, such as space-saving storage with simultaneous charging and Anti-theft lockable doors.
