Temperature Monitoring in accordance with DIN EN 12830 using TISLOG
Our TISLOG logistics software, when used in conjunction with a telematicbox, provides reliable temperature monitoring in accordance with DIN EN 12830, as well as alarm functions.
Temperature Monitoring in Accordance with DIN EN 12830
The European standard DIN EN 12830 specifies the technical and functional characteristics of temperature monitoring devices used for the transport, storage, and distribution of temperature-sensitive goods. These include not only food but also pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biological products, plants, and works of art.
Interaction between the telematicbox Solar (Telic Solar) and BLE sensors for temperature
In response to a customer inquiry, we launched a test to evaluate the interaction between our telematicbox Solar (Telic Solar) and BLE sensors for temperature monitoring.
The inquiry: The customer would like to use a telematicbox Solar (Telic Solar) in conjunction with two BLE beacons to monitor the temperature inside the swap body at 30-minute intervals.
The Test: Since we have no prior experience with this combination, we initiated a test. The key questions are whether the telematicbox Solar (Telic Solar) has sufficient power for this project and whether the wireless range of the BLE sensors is adequate.
First Results: Following a test installation to simulate the required conditions, it is clear for now that we are receiving the temperature data. This means that the wireless range of the BLE sensors is sufficient. Further testing is now needed to determine whether the power supply of the telematicbox Solar (Telic Solar) remains sufficient over a longer period and whether seamless transmission is possible or if there are occasional dropouts.
Does the tachograph have a built-in SIM card?
There are recurring misunderstandings regarding the digital tachograph. For example, there is a claim circulating that the tachograph has a built-in SIM card, which allows the data from the mass storage device and the driver card to be accessed and downloaded at any time. But is that really true?
No, that’s not true. The digital tachograph does not have a built-in SIM card.
The data can only be read using additional hardware. This includes, for example, our telematicbox Truck. It is a black box that connects to the tachograph, allowing it to read the data from the mass storage and the driver card. This data is then made available in our TISLOG web platform, called the TISLOG Infodesk.
