Data exchange in real time

Good news for all transport companies that want to exchange their data seamlessly:
Whoever uses Transdata from Komalog for transport management and the mobile order management software TISLOG from TIS GmbH or is at least considering it can now benefit from the fast and seamless data exchange between the two applications via a new interface from Transdata.

The connection of third-party systems via interfaces has long been part of the product philosophy of the TISLOG logistics software from TIS. The TISLOG family is a powerful combination of several components developed by TIS GmbH. TISLOG mobile is our driver app. It communicates with Infodesk, our web portal with extensive functionalities for scheduling, order management, location and statistics. The TISLOG server ensures secure data exchange. In addition to suitable hardware for the mobile use of our software by drivers and staff in transshipment warehouses or parcel depots, with our telematics boxes for trucks and trailers we offer telematics modules that communicate directly with our TISLOG software. In this way, companies can receive valuable information for their cost optimization and quality assurance (such as vehicle locations, driving behavior, compliance with legal regulations, fuel consumption, etc.).
The TISLOG all-in-one solution ensures a smooth data flow along its own components. But “seamless logistics” with the TISLOG telematics solution even goes beyond that.

TISLOG data hub

Thanks to the connection options for various third-party systems via interfaces, which we have been expanding for several years, TISLOG becomes an omnilateral data hub. These include transport management, archive, data acquisition, statistics and analysis as well as billing systems.

With our telematics interface, which we make available free of charge, developers also have the opportunity to implement such connections “from outside” and we are pleased that corresponding advances are now spreading across the software landscape. We are convinced that everyone involved in logistics benefits from a seamless flow of data.

New Transdata API

A current example of the increasing networking activities is one of our TMS partners, TRANSDATA, who has created a connection to TISLOG with their own API. After TIS approached the partner company with the idea of connecting the loading and unloading process between Komalog and TISLOG via a web service interface, TRANSDATA did not contemplate long and the project was successfully implemented.

We are very pleased that our partner TRANSDATA is very open to the topic of networking and quickly recognized the potential of this option, because it offers several advantages for all users of TISLOG and Komalog.

Advantages for users

Especially the drivers see huge relief. Wherever Komalog and TISLOG are used in combination, drivers only have to operate one application, the driver app from TISLOG.

TISLOG guides users through all processes with an intuitive graphic interface. Working with text-based interfaces on the mobile device is no longer necessary.

Drivers can now also perform loading and unloading scans via the familiar graphical interface of the TISLOG app on their Android device, and are already connected to Komalog while doing so.

The stable Komalog interface enables data exchange in real time. This also speeds up and simplifies scanning and the data is immediately available wherever it is needed for further processing.

But not only scans and status information, but also photos, can be quickly recorded and transmitted with the combination of TISLOG and Komalog.

If, for example, a shipment is damaged, the driver can use the mobile TISLOG software document the damage, take evidence photos directly using his mobile terminal and also transmit this information in real time in Komalog.

The combination of Komalog and TISLOG has already been used successfully in several pilot projects and convinced.
The duo is particularly well received by drivers due to the simple handling and is therefore a very good example of how different systems in symbiosis complement each other with many advantages for users.
