The TIS GmbH has developed a solution for the remotely controlled and automated recording, transmission and archiving of data from the digital tachograph with mobile data terminals (MDT) which suits for all tachographs from version 1.3. TIS exhibit at the logistics trade show LogiMAT, from February 25 to 27 in Stuttgart. Find TIS in hall 5, booth 200.

The “Tacho Remote Download" allows convenient reading of data, while the vehicles are on the road. Via mobile connection the information is sent to the data center of TIS where they are saved. They are available for the business at any time via the Internet. In addition, the tacho data are accessible for analysis or transmission to service providers - such as Zauner & Partner - for a legally compliant storage.

One of the few requirements of this simple and innovative solution includes a remote-ready tachograph such as the units from VDO from Version 1.3a. Connected to it is a compact hardware interface, which was developed by TIS and is offered under the name KLIF. KLIF enables direct, wireless access to the download interface of the digital tachograph for remote reading of the data. From there the data are then transmitted via Bluetooth to the driver's mobile data terminal.
This can be, for example, a device of the type Motorola MC65 equipped with the telematics system PSV3. The authorization of the operation is carried out with the company card, which for this purpose should be located at the entrepreneur’s or in the TIS data center. The link between MDT and PSV3 server is established via mobile connection. Thus the new TIS solution enables the remote reading of the mass memory and plugged-in driver card.
