Photos are essential for the rapid and complete documentation of damages, loading areas and bulky shipments. That's why this time we introduce our enhanced photo function for hall scanning with PSV3-IL to you. The highlight: Our solution is integrated so perfectly into your workflow that your employees do not even have to put the scanner aside, when they want to document a damage. Taking photographs, linking all relevant data with the image and sending them to the right systems - all done within seconds. If you want to know more about it, please read on our first article in this newsletter. Also we added a brief overview of the events upcoming in the second half of this year - and again we introduce another new member of our staff to you.

Hall Scanning: Advanced Photo Function for PSV3-IL

We have supplemented the integrated photo function in our telematics software PSV3-IL. The photo function is used for quick documentation of damages, loading areas and bulky shipments. The improved solution simplifies further processing of the photos created with the Hall scanners in third-party systems. Furthermore, more information per image can now be stored and transmitted. The PSV3-IL software, specially designed for hall scanning, thus makes handling now even safer and easier.

The picture created is automatically linked to the previously scanned package number and thus clearly assigned. What is new is that the photo function can now also generate XML files. This opens up many possibilities for the adjacent IT solutions, for example, for transport management or archiving systems. Another example is video-based tracking of Divis (divis.eu), including the Damage VIS claims processing solution. The software complements the images supplied by PSV3 with other data and thus creates unique and comprehensive evidence of damages for insurances and freight forwarding agents in a PDF document.

Also new are the enhanced options for data collection during the documentation. Now  up to 10 data fields are available as needed. So in addition to the package number the images produced can also get assigned the area, gate number and other data.
The new software version of PSV3-IL also makes it possible to transfer the name of the logged-on user into the XML file. So it is automatically documented, who has captured the damage to simplify further inquiries of the administration department later.

Also, the workflow was optimized again: Every photo has to undergo a visual inspection now before the next picture can be taken. This way, blurry or faulty exposures are noticed immediately.

PSV3-IL is perfectly integrated into the workflow, so your staff is able to document all special cases of handling cargo easily without putting the hand-held terminal or the scanner aside.
