At the beginning of this short editorial we set a heartfelt thank you for the good cooperation in 2013. The last year has been a year full of changes and with a very healthy growth. Not only our new building, but also many new customers with innovative projects have contributed to this. There are new employees, many new features and hardware components - as well as new structures at the hardware partners: Motorola took over Psion, Honeywell bought Intermec. Lots of change. The overall market for telematics is growing at a rapid pace. Since the 2009 crisis not a year went with an increase in this market segment of less than 20 percent.

For 2014, we expect new challenges, but also many new opportunities. Smart phones, Android and "bring your own device" (BYOD) are the current topics in the market. The established manufacturers of mobile equipment such as Motorola and Honeywell announce new devices with Android. Therefore we will offer our mobile solutions in 2014 with a new web-based approach, among others, on Android devices. But also in our central server software, we will create new additional opportunities for professional logistics applications, which of course remain compatible with the solutions previously used by our customers. In times of rapid technological change investment protection is a topic not to be underestimated. 2014 will definitely be a very exciting and course setting year again.

InfoDesk: Display location data easily

Blackbox for covert tracking

For the purpose of locating vehicles which, for example, do not have a scanner, we offer our customers a black box for covert tracking. This makes also vehicles visible in InfoDesk, which, for example, are on the go in in line traffic (and do not need a scanner). Your advantage as InfoDesk user: These vehicles are treated equally by our InfoDesk - your entire fleet can be easily located and monitored.

Location data with Fleetboard devices

One of the most used visualization features in InfoDesk is the display of location data of the truck fleet. So far, only vehicles could be shown, in which PSV3 - devices were used together with GPS receivers. Now there is also the opportunity to display vehicles that are equipped with Fleetboard devices in InfoDesk.
