Contactless „receipt“ with drop off permission + photo
In order to live up to the current situation, TIS customers have the option of configuring the acknowledgment function for their drivers accordingly or having our support configure them. Then the signature is replaced by a drop off permission with a photo.
In the private sector, drop off permission for parcel services has been known for a long time. Here the recipient gives a drop off permission for shipments. In doing so, he relieves the delivering driver of the obligation to acquire a signature. So far, this is not common in the B2B area.
In the current situation, logisticians can also relieve their drivers of the mandatory signature by giving them a drop off permission as employers (or for subcontractors as clients). In order for the delivery to be documented in a traceable manner, the driver must then take a photo of the delivered goods at the drop off location. This avoids direct contact with the recipient and there is still a POD status (proof of delivery).
Speedometer archiving made easy with the 12-slot card reader from TIS
A new accessory from TIS now facilitates compliant reading and archiving of the data from the digital speedometer.
Driver cards for the digital speedometer must be read out every 28 days at the latest, the digital speedometer itself at least every 90 days.
If you use TISLOG with the Tacho Archive add-on module as a cloud solution, the data from the digital tachometer is automatically available.
If you are hosting TISLOG on your own server, reading that data has required a little more manual work so far.
For example, equipped with a download key, you have to read one truck at a time in the yard. The collected data must then be read out again. That costs valuable time and manpower.
This step is now considerably simplified with the TISPLUS 12-slot multicard reader from TIS GmbH for the self-hosted version of TISLOG.
TIS in new dimensions: Expansion of our company headquarters in Bocholt
Some customers and partners who are in close contact with us have certainly already noticed: TIS continues to grow, in the truest sense of the word.
The last growth spur occurred in 2013 when we moved into our new company headquarters in the Technology Park Bocholt, called TIS Tower by insiders. The building provided our team, back then 45 people strong, with generously calculated space for up to 60 employees. Less than a decade later, these capacities have now again been exhausted in the new premises.
That is why owners Josef and Fabian Bielefeld as well as managing director Markus Vinke decided last year to again invest over one million euros in the location in the technology park and to have the company headquarters expanded with an extension.
The adjacent property was then bought from the city and the foundation stone for the additional building with a usable area of 500 square meters was laid at the end of 2019.
Construction is currently proceeding in a manner that is adapted to the current situation. The move into the extension, which will be connected to the TIS tower via the stairwell, elevator and roof terrace, is currently prospected for August 2020.
