Back in June we moved into our new premises.
The house was built within approximately one year after the ideas and plans of managing shareholder and founder Josef Bielefeld also with the environment in mind.

Space for new development

Built at a cost of 1.3 million euros our new offices offer four floors of space for up to 60 employees and thus already sufficient resources for further expansion at TIS. Enhancement areas are also already available.
Large training and conference rooms for up to 30 participants complete our new space supplies and also create expanded opportunities for a variety of events, such as training, presentations and in-house exhibitions.
The optimized interior design provides for improved interdisciplinary collaboration and accelerated internal processes in the future.
For example, the offices of hardware and software support are now located next to each other, which shortens the work distances.

Our new address at Müller-Armack-Straße 8 in Technology Park Bocholt is not only easily accessible, thanks to good transport connections to the east of the city, it is also conveniently located near the Westphalian University, with which TIS GmbH already cooperates closely for many years.
Some of today's TIS employees are former students of the college who have met their future employer through internships, semester or diploma theses. The new offices offer even more room for the inclusion of trainees and students in ongoing projects.

Innovative and ecological

The highly efficient house technology provides a combination of heat pumps and air conditioners, as well as ventilation systems with heat exchangers in the building for particularly energy-saving heating and climate control, as well as fresh air in the building at all times. In addition, heat produced by the existing IT equipment is lead back into the energy cycle through heat recovery and used, for example, to heat the office space. A photovoltaic system on the roof generates 17 kilowatt hours of electricity per hour, of which approximately 80 percent is consumed internally.

The internal information technology has also been improved.
In the new building we have our own secure 1-Gbit fiber connectivity to the partner data center. Two different web accesses lead over the data center to a highly reliable Internet connection. If against all odds the Internet connection is interrupted though, the flow of data is still secured via UMTS. Our modern VoIP phone system offers enhanced communication features and supports, for example, internal chats, conference calls, and the use of mobile devices.
