Image campaign “logistics heroes” starts
Image campaign "Logistikhelden (logistics heroes)" launches

For the start of their nationwide image campaign for the logistics industry "Logistikhelden (logistics heroes)", the initiative "Die Wirtschaftsmacher (The Business Makers)" published a moving "Behind the Scenes" video. It's about the motivation and goals behind the initiative, as well as the look behind the scenes during the production preparations and the filming of the "Hero Videos".
"One goal of Die Wirtschaftsmacher is to tell the great stories of the people who work in this industry with the campaign "Logistikhelden" and to make the industry more interesting for potential employees through these great stories," explains Frauke Heistermann, initiator and spokeswoman of Die Wirtschaftsmacher, in the clip.
From the professional driver and the logistics planner over a product manager to the courier, on its website and in various media the image campaign currently presents a selection of fourteen out of the approximately 200 professions in the logistics industry and representatively one person active in this profession. These are the logistics heroes, people who, through their work, keep goods flowing, mobilize the population, develop technology for traffic and transport, make logistics more environmentally friendly, or participate in the organization of the supply chain.
On the one hand, the campaign tries to emphasize how important these activities are for our daily lives and thus to create more public recognition. At the same time, the chosen mix is also intended to highlight the various employment and career opportunities in the logistics industry.
"In logistics, learning never stops," says Frauke Heistermann. "It offers an incredibly exciting, dynamic environment. Logistics is just as much suited for academics as it is for unskilled workers who can find their jobs there and develop their skills."
Among other things, women are presented enthusiastically in occupations that are still predominantly carried out by men to demonstrate that today there are no more hurdles for people, who want to follow precisely that vocation in which they feel "right" and also find recognition in these positions.
The "Logistikhelden" campaign is currently starting.

„Die Wirtschaftsmacher“ is an initiative of the Bundesvereinigung Logistik eV (BVL), which aims to address and invite companies, associations and media, with the help of their networks, communication channels and financial commitment, to improve the image of the logistics sector in the future, following the motto: We are "The Business Makers".
