Furniture logistics with added value
The Situation
In 2018, fm Büromöbel was looking for a provider for the end-to-end digitization of delivery. The number of IT systems used should be kept as low as possible and the price-performance ratio should be good.
A year later, the decision was made in favor of TIS GmbH, which could supply everything from a single source. Only the route planning software still runs through another provider who is a partner of TIS.
The Task
The task was the continuous digitization of the delivery. For this purpose, TIS GmbH offered the furniture supplier its TISPLUS telematicboxes Truck, which collect telematics data and make it available to disposition. In addition, fm Büromöbel uses the automatic driver's license check, the digital departure check and the TISLOG MDM.
The Project Implementation
The project started with the installation of the TISPLUS telematic boxes truck. After that, mobile computers with integrated scanners were purchased for the vehicles. In this process, TISLOG mobile was also introduced, which the modules mobile order management, automatic driver's license checks and digital departure checks.
However, further steps are already planned. The working hours of the drivers will be recorded and expense reports will be created automatically. This will also runs via a specialized partner of TIS.
