Zebra MC95 discontinued

The hardware vendor Zebra has discontinued the MC95. Until October 30, 2016 the device can be ordered. However, deliveries will only be made while supplies last. We advise our customers to rapidly assess whether any equipment needs to be purchased and if so to  order with us until mid-October.

As usual with the manufacturers of industrial equipment, there will still be support and repair service available for a period of 5 years.

End of Service Date is December 30, 2021. Even accessories such as batteries are available until then, which means the device can now be bought with peace of mind and used for at least 5 years.

Following the MC95 we recommend the Zebra TC70/ 75 with Android and TISLOG mobile Enterprise or the Workabout Pro 4 Handheld with Windows Embedded and TISLOG mobile PSV3. Both devices, like the MC95, are also available with UMTS, so they can be used outside of wireless coverage as well.

The Zebra TC70/ 75 can be upgraded with a TISPLUS Scan Handle and Snap-on adapter for use in the warehouse. The Workabout Pro 4 as a highly modular instrument can be fitted for almost any even most exotic requirement, for example, with the TISPLUS Camera Pod housing or the TISPLUS Smart Card Reader. Also, the long-range scanners Lorax, Scan Handle and UMTS can be combined in the Workabout Pro 4 thanks to TIS.

As a pure wireless device the recently released Zebra TC8000 with Android is worth a look, representing a completely new concept by Zebra, which will enable significant increases in productivity. As for the MC95 before, for all three devices TIS provides solutions for the integration of active transponders for the intelligent camera-based tracking and scanning process locating options available from our partners.
