Spedition Heinrich Koch remains loyal to TIS
The Situation
As early as 2002, Koch International opted for the telematics solution PSV3 from TIS. Almost a decade and a half later, the CargoLine partner based in Osnabrück has remained faithful to TIS and is upgrading to the latest software generation from the telematics specialists, TISLOG.
The Task
The focus was on the partial or complete automation of various functions, such as automated expense reports and a comfortable display of driving and rest times, which should also benefit the drivers.
The Project Implementation
Since 2017, TISLOG office has been communicating in seven languages: every text message between the dispatcher and their own drivers as well as drivers employed as contractors is automatically translated. An Android app assists drivers on their Honeywell EDA50 devices with the order fulfillment. At the time of the modernization, all of the fleet's newer trucks were already equipped with TISPLUS telematicboxes. In this way Koch International for many years already had access to relevant vehicle data (diesel consumption, engine temperature ...) and in addition the driving and rest times of the drivers. Thanks to the handy devices and the intuitive usability of the app, the new solution enjoys high acceptance among the drivers.
