Hardware: Protect commercially used consumer devices, T-Matik summed up

Since this month our customers from Germany have the opportunity to protect their commercial mobile consumer devices via a "Business Mobile Protection Plan” (Fimo). The units then are covered by a two-year comprehensive insurance which includes a comfortable repair service. More in this newsletter. We also report to you about the T-Matik recently hosted in Greven, organized by the transportation management system house LIS, always a very exciting and successful event.

Protection for commercial mobile devices
Since May customers from Germany can insure their commercial tablets and smartphones via a corporate mobile protection plan (Fimo).
This insurance coverage for consumer devices like the Samsung Tab Tablet Active or the Samsung X-Cover 3 functions similarly to the Comprehensive service for industrial equipment. For a one-time fee customers can protect their mobile devices against the risk of future repair costs for two years.
The insurance for two years is available in two options: the PLUS-protection and the PREMIUM protection. The Plus-protection covers all kinds of damage on the mobile device - from breakage and impact damage to faulty operation. Whether the unit was damaged by the owner or by a third party, does not matter. In addition, the company mobile protection warranty service insures from 13 months forward: The damaged equipment will then be repaired or parts will be replaced. Typically, these repairs will take 3 to 5 days. If a repair is not possible (or is no longer worthwhile), the device will be replaced. The insurance is also available with premium protection, which assures additional protection against theft, robbery and vandalism.
The insurance is available for a one-time payment and no deductible in case of damage. Even existing devices can be insured. The insurer is SPB GmbH, which also takes care of the implementation of repairs.

T-Matik: Double Impact on Telematics on May 10, 2016 in Greven
Greven. Once every year the small Westphalian town in the Münsterland area becomes the Mecca for mobile products in logistics. Again, the transportation management system house LIS had invited to visit the T-Matik - and more than 20 specialized exhibitors with their telematics innovations followed the call. Many visitors from the entire Republic, representing the logistical mid-sized and smaller companies came to gather information about these new products. There is probably no other event for the German logistics service provider with such a high density of telematics information.
TIS was also represented this year with the new TISLOG products. Of particular interest for visitors were the Android-solutions for tablets and the Zebra TC75 combined with TISPLUS Vehicle Mounts. Even existing customers of TIS were interested in these innovations. TISLOG mobile Smart is a solution for the charter use. The software is very easy to use and provides all the key data used in the spot market. Visitors who own a fleet, however, looked more for TISPLUS telematicbox Truck 2 PREMIUM, which not only allows for capturing of the driving time data, but also provides driver coaching and support on the basis of the current FMS data. Finally, TISLOG office with many new features kept our TIS team very busy at our booth.
In bright sunshine, the visitors enjoyed their coffee breaks in between outside. The TIS booth was right next to the door to the exhibition building and thus directly under the pathway to the hall.
At the next T-Matik TIS will certainly be there again!
