On behalf of the entire TIS team, I would like to thank you for your trust in us and for a successful and fast-paced year.
Characterized by turbulence, such as economic fluctuations and political caprices from overseas and across the English Channel, this year was anything but boring. At the end of the year, however, we are looking back in a very positive mood.
The protection of our planet, emissions and e-mobility are moving our days and drive us to develop sustainable and alternative solutions. These topics became the engine of 2019 and it was challenging to keep up with the staccato of news and innovations in the fields of technology and the environment.
At TIS, the topic of the engine became proverbial: We are now driving e-mobiles with our new e-Golf. In the short period of its existence, the vehicle has already attracted a lot of attention, most certainly because of its unusual decoration.
Our customers are also engaged in the topic of e-mobility and some of them were therefore involved in the latest developments in the form of prototype tests with e-trucks this year.
In the TIS Tower, numerous innovations and research projects, including blockchain, AI, deep learning, robotics (collaborative robots) and image processing, drove our work.
For our TISLOG hardware portfolio, we tested countless new mobile devices, analyzed new players and tested collaborations, including with promising startups.
We are promoting the expansion of our synergies, because we are firmly convinced that it is only possible to keep up with the rapid pace of development of technology and processes by cooperating. In November our esteemed colleague and former second managing director, Peter Giesekus, retired. We wholeheartedly wish him only the best for this new phase of life without professional obligations, but we also have to get used to his missing warm and competent company in our midst.
Such events, as well as a lot of activity and innovation naturally also continuously demand new resources.

Accordingly, our team has grown by seven new employees this year to a total of 76 people. More clever minds need more space for ideas, which is why the groundbreaking ceremony for our extension took place in December.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for autumn 2020 and will be accompanied by celebrations.
Since TIS GmbH will also celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2020, we look forward to a memorable in-house event. We will of course inform you of the details in good time in a separate invitation and we look forward to seeing you there to celebrate with us.
Let us make 2020 an even better year than the already good year 2019.
With this in mind, we look forward to continuing on this path together with you.

Real-time data exchange between Komalog® and TISLOG®
Good news for all transport companies that want to exchange their data seamlessly:
Whoever uses Transdata from Komalog for transport management and the mobile order management software TISLOG from TIS GmbH or is at least considering it can now benefit from the fast and seamless data exchange between the two applications via a new interface from Transdata.
Popular apps: truck pre-trip inspection
TIS is offering a free version of the TISLOG mobile module pre-trip inspection available in the Google Playstore. Almost 10,000 downloads and very positive reviews show the success of the app. Since its publication, user feedback has also contributed to the fact that the application has continuously developed further and is running very stably.
Our truck module “Pre-Trip Inspection” in TISLOG mobile Enterprise also benefits from this positive effect.

Employee training: forwarding worklife meets telematics
The TIS team consists of trained specialists in all areas, most of whom have their professional background in logistics.
For decades, our experts have been taking care of customers directly on site in their companies in joint project work so that planned installations can be perfectly adapted to the individual requirements of each company. This practice-oriented approach is valuable in many ways. The knowledge of our employees continues to grow in project work and the wealth of experience gained forms an essential milestone for the needs-oriented further development of our solutions.
TIS now goes one step further and offers all employees, including those who are not directly involved in the project work, the opportunity to acquire additional detailed knowledge of the problems and challenges in everyday freight forwarding in order to better respond to the needs of and serve our customers.
All areas that contribute to customer success at TIS should benefit from this optimization, including support and accessory development, for example.
