The Situation
With a fleet of over 300 trucks Camion Transport is one of the largest transportation companies in Switzerland. The ten branch offices are equipped with independent parallel working dispatch departments.
The Task
Parallel data access to the EDP-dispatch system, optimization of order management for pickup orders and the initial implementation of delivery scanning.
Camion Transport was looking for a comprehensive solution for the company as a whole.
Project Implementation
TIS designed a PSV3 solution based on the installation of a new central server system, which is connected to every Camion Transport truck via mobile scanners and radio transmission - including a locating/positioning system. The system offers drivers and dispatchers a wide variety of new communication and data transmission possibilities - which optimize the entire order management system.
