Peter Giesekus says goodbye

On November 30, 2019, our esteemed colleague, Peter Giesekus, will retire. The trained forwarding merchant has worked as a sales manager in the company since 2008 and has played a decisive role in shaping the structures.

Anyone who would like to meet the enthusiastic hobby musician again in person before he will be leaving the company will be given the opportunity at the transport logistic in Munich from June 4 to 7 at our booth. We are exhibiting in hall A3 at booth 317/518.

Peter Giesekus is considered one of the pioneers of mobile communication between the truck and the forwarder, who started his career in the logistics sector more than 40 years ago. His stations included well-known names like Cap debis and PAS.
In 2000, he took over the management of Qualcomm QES GmbH, where he was responsible for the implementation of international telematics projects in Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland.
In 2008, he finally joined TIS GmbH as co-managing director and has been responsible for the sales department here ever since.

He looks back with satisfaction at his time at TIS and what has been achieved together: "We have been growing steadily for years and are today undertaking highly demanding projects in mobile order processing and telematics. With a clear focus on logistics and mobility, we are very well positioned in the market."

After a very active, fulfilling and successful work life, he says he is looking forward to spending some more time with family, traveling and music.

His duties at TIS GmbH will be taken over by his colleague, Managing Director Markus Vinke, supported by Mike Ahlmann (Team Leader Sales) and Bernd Schmitz (Head of Project Planning and Support Department). The sales team has been sustainably reinforced since October 2018 by Oliver Krahmer, Daniel Schlütter and Fabian Bielefeld. A smooth transition and comprehensive customer care is thus guaranteed.
