LSVA III: TIS in the pilot phase
LSVA III: TIS in the pilot phase

Bocholt, April 24, 2025
We are pleased to announce that, as a NETS provider, we are currently in the pilot phase of the new heavy goods vehicle tax "LSVA III" for the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) in Switzerland. We have passed the first three approval stages and are now looking forward to the pilot phase, which we are conducting together with our customer, Emil Egger AG.
The LSVA III (third-generation performance-based heavy goods vehicle tax) is the further development of the existing system for collecting taxes on heavy goods vehicles in Switzerland. The goal of this new generation is to make the collection of taxes even more efficient, transparent, and digital. The LSVA III is based on a modern technological infrastructure that enables more precise data capture, improved user guidance, and seamless integration into existing vehicle and logistics systems such as TISLOG.
As a company, we must complete four stages of the approval process. The first stage is a suitability test. This determines whether the operational and technical requirements are met.
In the second stage, the interfaces are reviewed. There, it must be demonstrated that the Camiuns interface has been implemented in accordance with the requirements. This also includes running test cases.
The third stage is trial operation. The goal is to check the entire process chain for compliance with the requirements of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS). For this purpose, various test drives must be conducted, which must meet the accuracy requirements for route determination.
In the fourth and final stage, which we are now in, we will test under real operating conditions whether operational quality can be guaranteed. These are therefore no longer test cases, but real conditions with a representative vehicle fleet. We are implementing this together with our customer, Emil Egger AG.
As a provider of LSVA III, our solution makes an important contribution to the digitalization and modernization of this central component of Swiss transport policy.
