Bocholt 4.0 Retrospect

Those who visited the industrial exhibition in the industrial park Bocholt in sunny weather on September 17th, had to line up here and there in order to catch a glimpse. For the first time in 20 years, the Wirtschaftsförderung Bocholt had organized the event Bocholt 4.0, named after industry 4.0. And thousands of visitors took the opportunity to get to know companies and state-of-the-art production technology from the region.

About 150 companies and associations were exhibiting. On several booths you could also enjoy finger food and even book attractions, such as helicopter flights.

The entire event was led by the subject of digitalization. This played a correspondingly great role in the presentations of the individual companies.
As a regional supplier, of course, TIS GmbH presented, too.

At the TIS booth people asked lots of questions, listened and curiously tried out he exhibits. Not everyone is familiar with the concept of Telematics. But after numerous conversations many had a more accurate idea of ​​what a telematics provider is and how logistics software works.
The TISSIS on site have enjoyed the personal exchange and the opportunity to share the enthusiasm for their profession with the visitors.

Enthusiastic young talents

The interest of young people in information about internships and vocational training at TIS was surprisingly great.
In general, the IT industry is perceived as a future industry, which is why today's careers in this area seem particularly attractive. This is a fact that we at TIS really appreciate. The further development of the 4.0 world will require a lot of technology - oriented minds in the future to actively shape the progress.

In his conclusion, Ludger Dieckhues, head of the Wirtschaftsförderung Bocholt, was delighted about the success of the exhibition and emphasized that not another 20 years should pass until the next event is held.
This is also in our interest, as Guido Elsinghorst, who represented TIS together with other colleagues at the fair, sums up:
"Our main concern was the presentation of TIS as a company and employer. And we scored well. We had a lot of conversations with young future apprentices and young people still tying to find their spot in the working world. We also explained to many interested parties what we are doing and who we are. Our stand was very well attended. We'll be back next time."

In this spirit we also hope that it will not take too long until the next industrial exhibition in Bocholt and we will definitely be there again next time.
