Initiative for the logistics industry, webinar dates, our new trainees

TIS GmbH has long been successful in establishing partnerships. Recently we joined the initiative "Die Wirtschaftsmacher" and the nationwide campaign "Logistikhelden", which campaigns for the image of the logistics industry. We report about it in this issue. The promotion of young talent is also an important topic for us. Today we introduce our new trainees, who have just started their 2018 apprenticeship with us.

Die Wirtschaftsmacher - the logistics heroes of TIS participate!

With a nationwide image campaign "Logistikhelden (logistics heroes)", the logistics industry wants to score points with young professionals and improve their reputation in the public. The campaign will start in the fall of 2019 - and TIS is already on board as a supporter of the TELEMATICS industry.
In the newly founded initiative "Die Wirtschaftsmacher (The Business Makers)", interest groups, logistics service providers, as well as industry and trade, concentrate their forces in a targeted effort and together achieve more visibility and reach than each one of them could on their own. The idea for the campaign was born in the BVL theme group "Image der Logistik (Image of Logistics)" .
At the heart of the campaign are "logistics heroes" who are likeable ambassadors for the efficiency and professionalism of all logistical fields of action as a whole. They are people from logistics practice in different companies who tell exciting stories from their everyday work. The TISSIS have been telling small and big success stories for many years - together with their customers from the logistics industry. That's why we look forward to being part of this campaign!

Our trainees 2018!
Since the beginning of August we have three new apprentices in different professions. We would like to introduce you to our new young colleagues and would like to cordially welcome them to the TISSIS team!
Fabian Pesch
Fabian Pesch is becoming a trained IT specialist for system integration. Currently, he works in our support and is being familiarized with everything there: hardware, software, work processes. He opted for the training because he is interested in technology and computers and fascinated by the fact that learning never really stops in this area.
Here at TIS, he not only learns a lot about computers and IT, but also everything that has to do with shipping software. He likes the open and friendly atmosphere and the good spirit among the staff. In his spare time he has been playing badminton for nine years and enjoys computer games as well.
Anna-Lena Meiering
Anna-Lena Meiering is training to be industrial clerk. She already has taken over a variety of administrative tasks. She works mainly with our merchandise management system. She handles the sales process from the customer inquiry to the invoice and also sends offers and orders as well as packing goods to be shipped.
Back at school, she already did an internship as an industrial clerk and found great pleasure in this area of responsibility. Before she began her training with us, she attended the Higher Business School in order to optimally prepare for her career path. She especially likes the good cooperation with us. In her free time, she is mostly found on the football field, she plays football herself and also trains the C youth in Lowick.
Tim Vahlbrock
Before starting his apprenticeship, Tim Vahlbrock had already worked with us on a temporary job as a software developer this summer. As part of the mobile development team, he now adds new features to our mobile software and also takes care of troubleshooting. He learned his first programming language early and to this day he is fascinated by the virtually limitless possibilities of computers. At TIS, he likes the friendly, familiar working atmosphere and the helpfulness of his colleagues. When he's not programming, he and his friends are doing parcours (also known as freerunning) or training the youth of the gliding club in Bocholt.
