To keep the operating systems on our customers' devices up-to-date after the purchase, we offer the option of automated OS updates.
Update schedules coordinated with the customer
Before the updates are carried out, we coordinate them with our customers. In the process, it is determined which target version needs to be installed. In addition, the time of execution can be scheduled and the conditions be set for the updates.
For example, it can be configured that the OS update files are to be transferred exclusively with a WLAN connection and that the installation is only being carried out after the end of the tour or after the employee has logged off.
In this way, disruptions of the work process can be largely ruled out.
Installation process
The new OS versions (Android) are distributed to the various devices via our Mobile Device Management (MDM). For example, mobile computers from the manufacturers Honeywell, Panasonic and Zebra are supported. The software recognizes which updates are necessary for the target version on the respective device. Often there are several updates that have to be installed per handheld. This process is automated, without manual intervention necessary.
