The himolla Logistik GmbH is a subsidiary of upholstered furniture manufacturer himolla based in Taufkirchen. As a former intra-company transportation fleet transported the freight forwarder with 35 owned trucks not only transports their own products, but also furniture and mattresses of other brands such as Schlaraffia, Pullman or Ölsa. 2,500 to 3,000 cubic meters (26,900 to 32,290 sqf) of goods are traded per day. These shipments regularly have to be collected from the traders and transported back to the factory. during this process the forwarder in the past repeatedly has encountered problems with failed collections and to lack of provability of involuntary delays.

himolla Logistik GmbH now works with PSV3 from TIS. The shipper now not only sought for a complete documentation of the collection and delivery process, but also for a way to make all processes in the delivery virtually paperless.

The seamless order management at himolla was realized with the telematics system PSV3 from TIS - that could prevail against three other competitors. The complete documentation of collection and delivery is ensured by a predefined process in PSV3, in which the driver can not skip any step. These include the collection of photos of the product and signatures to confirm the delivery or failed pick-up attempts. For this TIS has partially adapted the programming of PSV3 specifically to the needs of himolla.

"From the beginning TIS was willing to take on our special requests and could provide us with a customized solution for our needs in a short time," CEO Wolfgang Kammhuber recalls.

The processes optimized by PSV3 now at himolla Logistik GmbH ensure consistently high quality in pick-up and delivery and sustainably improved the clarification rate of customer complaints.

But in Taufkirchen nobody wants to rest on that success and Kammhuber already has the next potential savings firmly set in his sights. With the help of telematics in the future he wants to read the data from the digital tachograph - automated and remotely controlled.
