Future professionals visiting TIS

At the first "CHECK-IN" event of the Promotion of Economic Development Bocholt, supported by the Chamber of Commerce North Westphalia and the Development Fund West Munsterland for the University Bocholt/ Ahaus, on a mid November Thursday 170 students of the University used the opportunity to get to know businesses throughout the district Borken.

About seven bus routes sorted and predefined by study courses took groups of up to 40 students to each pay 3 - 5 companies a visit.

The event included well-known companies in the region, some of them world market leaders in their field, and gave them the opportunity to present themselves as an attractive employer to young professionals.
The tours led from AXA development and engineering to VKF Renzel, from Schöppingen to Isselburg, from the industry park with the companies Caisley International and Pieron to the technology park with TIS and BEOSYS, as well as the district administration Borken.

For several years TIS already maintains close contact with the university of Bocholt and offers internships for undergraduate and graduate students.
For one or the other graduate this "first look” has already developed into a promising career prospect and eventually a permanent position as an employee at TIS in the past.

Two groups with a total of 60 students visited the new "TIS Tower" on Thursday of last week to find out what exciting tasks are expecting future graduates as employees at TIS.

CEO Joseph Bielefeld took a lot of personal time to welcome visitors and answer any questions.

The commitment of the companies involved in the "CHECK-IN" event was met with great interest by the young academics, as evidenced by numerous questions and intensive discussions.

Shortly before 10 p.m. all the buses were on their routes back to the Westphalian College and the event was concluded in a relaxed "get-together".

All participants came to a consistent conclusion: “CHECK IN” will be repeated and TIS is already looking forward to be part of it again!
