The Situation.

Several years ago, the Westphalian CargoLine partner has equipped his about 90 local traffic vehicles with mobile on-board computers of the PSV3 type, which are connected to the Active Logistics' transport management system. Now also the 130 long-distance trucks should be equipped with the telematics solution PSV3 provided by TIS.

The Task.

Not less than six administrative departments should benefit from the project and considerably reduce the costs.
50 of the 130 devices are planned to work in foreign trucks, operated by subcontractors, in order to integrate them seamlessly into the process.

The Project Implementation.

In combination with the TIS "TruckBox" CAN-Bus vehicle data, such as diesel consumption, the current total fuel consumption, current fuel level, the route to the next inspection etc., can be read via Bluetooth.
Overall, the collected and analyzed data results in an exact profile of the driver, which allows subsequent evaluation and optimization of driver's behavior.
The integrated navigation makes it easier for drivers and dispatchers to optimize and overview each tour and reduce phone calls.
