VLS transponders provide the ability to control video surveillance systems. These transponders are accessory attachments. The transpoders are mounted on the Motorola MC95 or the Psion Teklogix WorkAbout Pro 3 and are battery operated.

TIS developed special circuit boards to integrate the transponders into the mobile devices. Specific end-caps have been developed for our devices to make it as if this technology has "disappeared".

A direct link is created between the video sequences recorded by the VLS system and the scanner and the scanned barcode of a product or shipment in the shipping bay. In the event products “go missing” the last video surveillance of the product being scanned can be accessed. All that is needed is the product bar code number.

Video surveillance with direct data linkage makes the probability of shipment theft occurring in the shipping bay just as good as impossible. In the event an occasional shipment goes missing, the shipment can be identified and located quickly with the help of the surveillance videos.

TIS transponder soultions provide additional benefits:

• The transponders do not require separate power supplies – the power is supplied directly by the mobile devices.
• The mobile device warranty remains in effect.
• An external accessory attachment is not required for the transponder –everything “disappears” in the compact and easy to use mobile device.
