Newsletter 01-2012

We wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year and thank you for the good and pleasant cooperation and your trust in TIS over many years. Especially in the context of our anniversary we could clearly feel the true meaning of a good relationship with our customers and we really appreciate it.

The business climate index in Germany has experienced a real boost in 2011. The expectations of economic development have not been as high as in August 2011 for a long time. Even though the level is currently slightly unstable again, it varies on a high level. We therefore expect a healthy growth and many new projects this year. Our customers also develop magnificently, so we may all grow in 2012.

Both our new hardware and software products for mobile data and wireless telematics and the new accessories for standard hardware are surprisingly high demanded and sell in unexpectedly high numbers. Our web platform InfoDesk is getting more elaborate and interesting through the variety of new opportunities for more and more customers.

In 2012 it will be important not to get scared by the gloomy predictions of the financial experts, to maintain the momentum of last year and continue to quickly and inexpensively approach and implement new and innovative ideas and projects.

With this we want to assist you with competence and high motivation - and look forward to a healthy 2012 with you in every respect.

Instead of gifts: donations to social projects

It has already become a tradition with us to support different small social projects in Germany and the world. Instead of the company Christmas gifts this time, for example, there was the donation of a moped for a school in a small African village of Kalangala. We have considered especially three social projects for children in Germany, Africa and South America this Christmas.

TIS visited Motorola in New York

In December 2011 Peter Giesekus, CEO of TIS, visited our cooperation partner Motorola in New York. Background was the improved, personal and direct communication for selected, successful Motorola partners. TIS is not only a successful distributor, but also supplies Motorola with accessories. Most recently, this procreative cooperation has paid off for both partners: Motorola has won a major contract from United Airlines also due to a hardware component we developed for the Motorola MC95: The TIS Trigger Handle.

TIS - premium partner of Telecom

We are delighted that we have been awarded by Deutsche Telekom as a "Premium Partner 2012" in December 2011. By this Telecom honored 21 of their top partners who work long term, committed and successful in the development and implementation of mobile data solutions together with Telekom. We have been a partner of Telekom for many years, who has now been elected "mobile network of the year" twelve years in a row by the CONNECT magazine. The voice and data transmission convinces experts again every year. Also Stiftung Warentest and the Chip magazine voted our partners test winner.
So we are premium partner in the best network - and can thus offer our customers a very high quality and reliability in data transmission. Our preferred position also allows to clarify and resolve disturbances in the network for our customers faster. As one of the first partners we also use the M2M portal (Machine to Machine) from Telecom for the data communication.

Tip! Get more out of telematics: Expense Reports with Roadwatch

Many of the data collected by our PSV3 system are not even used by our customers yet. For example, the processing of driver data for the payroll can be performed automated. With Roadwatch, a software from the company LogicWay, you can use this information quite easily and efficiently.

New Terms and conditions

Terms and wording of contracts - for some they are a necessary evil, for us they are the basis of a transparent and fair cooperation with our customers without surprises in the fine print. We have never had any fine print. We have always placed much emphasis on well-readable and a fair contract principles, because our goal is a long-term partnership with our customers, not the quick business. Last year we asked our ten year old terms and conditions to the test - and thoroughly revised them. In the course of January 2012 we will introduce the new terms and conditions.

New shipping service

We are constantly working on improvements in our order processing. Much of it takes place, unnoticed in the background. Visible for you will be the change of our package delivery service. We are improving our quality in shipping and can also better serve our international customers. We thus expect a faster and higher quality in the transport of your equipment. However, we must therefore raise our shipping charges, which we have kept constant over the last 5 years, and we only pass on the cost increase.
