Secure connection.

DECT is the basic component employed in TIS radio transmission solutions.

TIS provides efficient and high quality products for wireless data connections.  The products introduced on the following pages have one thing in common: they utilize the radio transmission standard DECT to exchange data.

DECT stands for "Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications" and it is the digital radio transmission standard for a wide array of wireless connections. This standard is primarily used for wireless land line telephones. It is, however, also used for the wireless transmission of data. DECT's main benefits include high quality voice transmission, high level security, greater transmission range as compared to WLAN, as well as low susceptibility to interference from other radio technologies.

Develop, locate, and measure with DECT.

DECT products can be used in a multitude of applications. The DECT Module is optimally suited for the integration of DECT-based applications into in-house product solutions. TIS develops customer specific software for the DECT module, as well as solutions for other relevant technologies. The  EVA-Briefcase is an excellent choice for comprehensive DECT module testing.

The DPS tag simply locates individuals or inventory, which would otherwise be difficult to find. Thanks to DECT RFPI-Sniffer Pro , the location of DECT base stations can be optimized.

Wireless data transmission in and around vehicles.

In addition, TIS provides DECT products that transfer data from vehicles to the main office. Products such as Databox, Pocketbox, Carbox etc… connect technical devices to control or analysis software.

Up until now, devices were typically connected via cable (RS232/RS485). This connection method poses significant limitations, the least of which is dealing with unwieldy cables.

Now mobile computers can read and operate and ultimately process data received from printers, scales, and flow meters in vehicles wirelessly.

The inconvenience of connecting the vehicle’s integrated onboard computers to a notebook via a cable has become a thing of the past. Now the onboard computer connects to a Carbox: as soon as the vehicle comes into transmission range of the main office, Carbox automatically transmits data to the evaluation server. The process is extremely simple, all the driver has to do is to drive by - the data uploads – the driver doesn’t even have to stop.

This is how it works - radio modules are set up at both ends of the radio link:
