History.
25 years of success.
TIS Technische Informationssysteme GmbH currently employees approximately 40 employees. The company was initially formed in 1985, as a sole proprietorship in Bocholt; the company was transformed to TIS GmbH in 1992. Josef Bielefeld is the Managing Director, sole shareholder, and the founder of the company.
TIS Company History.
1985 - Josef Bielefeld founded TIS Technische Informations-Systeme as a sole proprietorship in Bocholt. By 1987 TIS had already realized its first transponder project.
1985 - 1990 - The young company is involved in a variety of projects:
- Realization of a HDLC interface for special ÖBP systems
- PC dialing interface for Siemens telephones
- Various mobile data capturing projects
1990 – TIS collaborates on the DECT standard definition and participates in the development of wireless DECT telephones and modules at Siemens AG
1992 – TIS Technische Informations-Systeme GmbH is founded.
1993 – Marks the beginning of the successful collaboration between TIS and the PAS-SAT Group (today Active Logistics) in the area of mobile solutions for transportation and logistics; this collaboration has enjoyed success to the present day.
1991-1995 – Entry into the mobile measurement technology business
1995-1999 –Strong growth, resulting from a large number of successful projects (Siemens, mobile measurement technology, transportation and logistics solutions)
1996 – Move to larger premises, located at Am Barloer Weg
2000 – Siemens transfers DECT module sales to TIS
2001 – PSV3 product development commences.
Starting 2001 –Switch to Windows-CE based mobile data capturing devices
2000-2008 - Continued development of Bluetooth technology - TIS collaboration in the development of different Infineon Bluetooth controller/IPs.
